Balázs Borbély has become the new assistant coach Adrian Guľa in the fortune-winning football club FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda.

Borbély signed a contract by May 31, 2025. He will serve in the DAC again after almost six years. He wore the Danube Wednesday jersey from 1998 to 2000 and played 42 matches for the A-team in the two highest competitions.

During his active career, he also played in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Timisoara, Romania and AEL Limassol, Cyprus. He scored fifteen starts in the jersey of the Slovak national team, he intervened in the EURO 2008 and WC 2010 qualifiers.

For the past three years, Borbély has been a member of Ferencváros Budapest, where after U17 and U19 he led the third league reserve last season, with which he finished ninth. “The DAC offer appealed to me and I finally decided to return home. It is a job at the student, so it means a step forward for me and at the same time a great challenge. We have clarified with the owner and the sports director what they expect from me. I am full of expectations and I look forward to working in a familiar environment, ” declared Borbély after signing the treaty.
