Russian forces continue to shell the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson with artillery on a daily basis and reported 54 attacks from there on Sunday. TASR informs about this according to Monday’s report of the British Ministry of Defence.
On Thursday, November 24, ten people lost their lives in the city. According to the British Department of Defense, most of the damage was caused by multi-barreled salvo rocket launchers of the BM-21 Grad type.
Kherson was liberated on November 11. On this day, Russia announced the withdrawal of more than 30,000 troops and Kyiv announced that Ukrainian forces had entered the city.
However, Kherson is vulnerable because it is within range of most of Moscow’s artillery systems. Russian troops are now shelling it from the newly created defense line on the eastern bank of the Dnieper River, the ministry writes.
