The ministers of the EU member states responsible for energy failed to agree on a package to alleviate the effects of the energy crisis at an extraordinary meeting in Brussels on Thursday.

The reason is dissatisfaction with the corrective mechanism to protect businesses and households in the EU from high gas prices, according to TASR, Slovak Economy Minister Karel Hirman said. The ministers will meet again on this issue on December 13 in Brussels.

We will update the report.
