Realization prices of all residential properties were 14.5% higher in the 3rd quarter than in the same period a year ago. The Statistical Office (ŠÚ) of the Slovak Republic informed about it.

The dynamics of the year-on-year growth in real estate prices, for which they were actually sold, slowed down slightly after six months of increasing pace; in the previous quarter, price growth reached almost 17%.

The slowdown in price growth was only seen in new real estate. However, existing properties continued to grow, currently their prices were 14.5% higher year-on-year (in the 2nd quarter it was 12.7%) and reached the highest value of growth in the last six quarters. Compared to the 2nd quarter of 2022, real estate prices increased by 2.8%.

The prices of all properties, regardless of age, were higher year-on-year by a double-digit value in all eight regions of the Slovak Republic. A higher dynamics of price growth than the national average was observed in four regions. In addition to the record growth of 20.4% in the Trnava region, price increases in the Prešovský, Banskobystricky and Košice regions were also above average.

A more significant year-on-year increase was recorded in the realization prices of existing real estate, where as many as four regions reached the threshold of year-on-year growth of 20%. The highest increase was again seen in the Trnava Region, by 24.8%.
