The Slovak Medical Chamber (SLK) asks the Government of the Slovak Republic and the Medical Trade Union (LOZ) to accept the latest proposal of the Government of the Slovak Republic to increase the coefficients, not the proposal for stabilization contributions, and an agreement was concluded. This was stated during Thursday’s press conference by the president of SLK Pavel Oravec.
SLK was not a participant and is not informed about the course of negotiations between the LOZ and the Government of the Slovak Republic. “The situation of the last few days is on the edge, there is growing social tension, dissatisfaction and pressure on the umbrella organization of doctors – SLK on the part of patients, outpatient doctors, many members of SLK, hospitals and several self-governing regions,” said Oravec.
According to Oravac, the solution cannot be the convening of crisis teams, a state of emergency and, as a result, further polarization in society and polarization between doctors, healthcare workers and patients.
SLK Vice President Róbert Roland added that there is no need to resist the fact that both sides take a quarter step back and find a way out.
