Teacher Eva Mireles, 44, was identified as the victim of a massacre at Robb Elementary School in Texas, which killed 19 children and two adults.

The teacher, who was trying to protect her students from the killer, herself became one of the victims of the massacre at a Texas school. Eva Mireles, a 44-year-old wife and mother, was a special teacher at Robb Elementary School, where she worked for 17 years.

Lydia Martinez Delgado, the teacher’s aunt, told the New York Times that her niece had been killed trying to protect children in her class on Tuesday. She also added that the children loved Eva immensely.

Eva Mirelesová was married to a local police officer, Ruben Ruiz (43), and her profile on the school’s website describes her having a college-aged daughter. The profile also mentioned that Eva had been an educator for 17 years and had been involved in teaching for 5 years.

As the Mirror portal writes, Eva writes in her profile that she has a supportive, fun and loving familywhich includes a cop (Ruiz), a daughter, a college graduate (Adalynn) and three hairy friends (Callie, Kane and Koda).

Eva’s aunt was outraged at the frequency of school shootings in the United States. She admitted that rifles should not be easily accessible to everyone.

Salvador Ramos, just an 18-year-old, opened fire on Robb’s primary school in Uvald. His victims ranged in age from 7 to 10 years. The motive for the massacre was not immediately known. The massacre came just 10 days after 10 people were killed in a predominantly black neighborhood in Buffalo, New York.
