On Wednesday (November 29), firefighters evacuated 33 people from a burning panel house in Český Tešín, in which an apartment caught fire before 10 a.m. From it, the flames spread to the roof. Four people inhaled smoke and ended up in the care of rescuers. Jakub Kozák, the spokesman for the Moravian-Silesian fire department, told ČTK.
The apartment on the 12th floor of a panel building caught fire around 09:45. The flames then reached the roof of the building. “In total, we evacuated 33 people,” said Kozák. He added that a unit of Polish firefighters is also on the scene.It affects 13 units in total“, he added. The cause of the fire or the extent of the damage are not yet known by the firemen.
