The gas leak in the vicinity of Buzulucká and Jána Botta streets in Zvolen, which was brought to the attention of residents in the early evening of Tuesday (November 29), has been stopped. This was stated for TASR by the operational center of the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service in Banská Bystrica.
Gas was leaking from an underground pipe. “Citizens reported the smell at about 5:30 p.m. and the gas leak was stopped at about 9:30 p.m.,” said the operational officer of HaZZ.
One of the streets was closed for a length of 250 meters for the entire time from the reporting to the end of the work. In addition to firefighters, the city police were also on the scene. Workers of the Slovak Gas Industry were repairing the fault.
