Fog, wind and ice may occur in several parts of Slovakia on Tuesday. Therefore, a first level warning applies. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informs about this on the website.
The frost warning is valid for central and eastern Slovakia until 12:00 p.m. “Ice formation represents a potential danger for human activities,” SHMÚ stated.
At the same time, he draws attention to the wind, for which a warning applies until 2 p.m. in the districts of Malacky, Pezinok, Veľký Krtíš, Hlohovec, Trnava, Levice, Nitra, Topoľčany and Zlaté Moravce. It will be windy in the districts of Myjava, Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Piešťany, Senica and Skalica until 6:00 p.m. “There is a rare occurrence of wind that will reach a short-term gust of 65 kilometers per hour and an average of 45 kilometers per hour,” the meteorologists specified.
The first-level warning also applies before fog in the northern districts of Slovakia and in the west in the districts of Bratislava, Pezinok and Senec until 9:00 a.m. “The occurrence of fog with visibility of 50 to 200 meters is expected,” added SHMÚ.
